Facts and Fictions.

So as my blog title proclaims, I love honesty.  Don't get me wrong-I also love silver linings, happy endings and cosmetics as much as the next girl.  But I feel as though there is courage behind honesty and sometimes letting people know that you're not perfect and neither are a lot of the things you do on a daily basis is more inspiring than anything else.  It says, "hey guys...I'm human" and makes it okay for everyone else to be human, too!  And that leaves room for everyone to grow.

Example of being human:

Wearing your favorite Steve Madden's to work, grabbing the warmest coat in your closet on the way out and throwing the bag you've been using all month over your shoulder before running off to work late.

Only to get there and realize that you look like this.

But there are also the days that leave you feeling pretty damn fabulous and don't think for a second that I don't believe in sharing pride of accomplishment.  I just think it's fun to also share the less-than-perfect moments and keep a sense of humor about the whole thing.  Life's a journey afterall!

One of the best parts of being alive is that every single day is a new chance to make things different.  I think this is why so many women love crafting, it feels great to take something (or some things) and make it something else.  Sometimes I look at DIY projects and think "hmm...I think I liked the original better".  But then I realize-it's not necessarily improvement that we strive for.  Sometimes it's just change!

Oh Target, how I love thee.

This year I would like to revel in change.  I think it's important to keep things fresh and step outside of your own comfort level as much as possible.  Crafting is such a fun way to reinvent.  I have some great ideas (well, great in my mind!) and can't wait to begin my various projects.  Did I mention I LOVE Valentine's Day?!

Stay tuned!

Happy New Year!

And more importantly...welcome!

My name is Jerrica and I am a wife to one and a mother to another one.  For years I have been following blogs from the shadows, secretly admiring the creative minds behind all of those fantastic DIY projects, recipes, and utterly gorgeous thrifty interior designs. This year I decided that I was DONE...that is, done being on the outside looking in!  I have finally decided to cross over and become a part of this fabulous community.  And while my crafting abilities are limited, my excitement and desire to learn are always growing. That said, I hope this blog will be the beginning of a new me, new friendships and some fresh new inspiration for 2012.

It's great to be here!
